A few words about our Overseer

Bishop Stephens was one of a kind. He had a close relationship with God and poured love out of his heart everyday on the people he met. After pastoring for 38 years, he was elevated to the role of Overseer. He had gone through many trials as well as countless triumphs. His dedication and selfless attitude have been an inspiration to many.

Joining him in the ministry his beautiful wife and highly esteemed Emeritus Lady Shirley Stephens. Overseer Stephens passed away October 22, 2022, after a brief illness.

A few words about our Pastor

Elder Jackson served faithfully under the leadership of Bishop Stephens. He had been an integral part of the church since 2000 when he and his family joined Spotlight. He was ordained as an Elder in 2001. Elder Jackson initiated Spotlight’s outreach ministry “Bountiful Blessings.”

On December 2, 2006 Elder Philip K. Jackson was installed as Pastor of Spotlight Holy Temple #2. The name of the church was changed to Spotlight Deliverance Temple in 2007.

Following the passing of Overseer Stephens, Pastor Jackson was installed as Overseer on March 23, 2024.

He had been married to the lovely Lady Carmen Jackson for more than 40 years and was an exemplary father and leader. After a long illness, Overseer Jackson transitioned to glory on February 26, 2026.

Pastor Tanya Collymore and Co-Pastor Anderson Collymore were ordained and installed as pastors by Overseer Jackson on December 7, 2024. Prior to becoming pastor, Evangelist Tanya Collymore served as youth pastor and part of the leadership team.

Married since 2013, the Collymores continue to lead Spotlight Deliverance Temple with dedication, vision and a heart for God’s people.
